Privacy Policy

The Short Version

We collect the minimum necessary to run this service. We do not sell your data. We do not build advertising profiles on you. You own your content. We are a tool, not a surveillance platform.

What We Collect

  • Account info: Your email address and display name when you sign up via Clerk.
  • OAuth tokens: Access tokens for platforms you choose to connect (X, YouTube, Rumble, Facebook). These are encrypted at rest and used solely to stream on your behalf.
  • Stream metadata: Basic stream session data (start/end times, platforms used) so you can view your history.
  • Waitlist email: If you join the waitlist, we store your email to notify you at launch. That's it.

What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not record or store your video or audio streams.
  • We do not track you across the web.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We do not build behavioral profiles on you.
  • We do not use your content to train AI models.

Third-Party Services

To operate, OBAStream uses the following third-party services. Each has their own privacy policy:

  • Clerk — Authentication and account management.
  • LiveKit — WebRTC infrastructure for in-browser streaming.
  • Platform APIs — X, YouTube, Rumble, and Facebook APIs are used only to deliver your stream when you choose to go live.

We do not share your personal information with these services beyond what is technically required.

Your Rights

  • Access: You can request a copy of all data we hold on you at any time.
  • Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data. We will comply within 30 days.
  • Portability: Your stream history and account data are exportable on request.
  • Disconnect platforms: You can revoke any platform connection at any time from your dashboard. We will delete the stored token immediately.

Data Security

OAuth access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256. We use HTTPS everywhere. We do not log request bodies. We take security seriously because your streaming credentials are sensitive.

Cookies

We use session cookies strictly necessary to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising cookies.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email and post the updated policy here. We will never retroactively expand data collection without your explicit consent.
